After watching Kim with her spoon I began to think that I should have a little silver spoon somewhere. Digging deep into a drawer, I found my little spoon. I've had it for so long, I have no idea where it came from. Looking like it was probably a sugar spoon, I opened a package of cane sugar from Maui and this is what I came up with.
I didn't remember that the details in the handle were so ornate.
And of course the bowl of the spoon.
And a macro of the sweet fibers that give us the delicious cane sugar.
Hope your week was good and your weekend will be even better.

Wow! The spoon! The sugar! A divine photo and your exposure is spot on!
Your spoon is really beautiful ! Love the focus in your images...perfect !
Yummy sugar and beautiful spoon! Breath taking images!
Lovely photos, Susan. I'm far from being an expert on silverware, but I wonder whether your sweet little spoon started out in life as a jam spoon. I've seen similar spoons in crystal jam dishes over here in England from time to time. Whatever the way of it, it's a little beauty. All the best, Bonny

Happy holidays!
Hi Susan,
Such a lovely feeling and delicate details - the spoon is so pretty, and the golden shade in the sugar makes a wonderful contrast to the color of the spoon.
Happy weekend and Merry Christmas to you :)
Indeed that is a beautiful spoon! And so are your pictures. I love the warm light in them.

The spoon is lovely, but I am fascinated by the grains of the sugar!!!
