Life Is Just A Bowl of Cherries

I read Viv's blog post today and I must admit it touched me.  She quoted the following:

“Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about those who don’t. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it.” — Paulo Coelho

I decided at that moment, this is my mantra, for not only 2015 but for many years to come.

Also being Texture Tuesday I began to look through my shots from last week, and Kim's texture kk_0312 was a perfect choice for my cranberry photos.  The texture took out some of the yellow that was bothering me.

Passing time and looking for a quote about cranberries, I came across the saying "Life is a bowl of cherries" from a song by Ray Henderson and Buddy G. DeSylva published in 1931.

WithViv's quote on my mind and finding this song I thought, life is like a sweet bowl of cherries but every once in awhile you'll come across a hard and nasty pit.  The pit may not be easy to deal with, but if you deal with the changes, forget about the pit and move on, life can be as sweet as the first bite.

I know the photos today are cranberries, not cherries, but they are both red.

I hope your year is ending on a good note and I wish you all the best in 2015.  Thanks for visiting and see you next year.

Yes the quote is one I want to use also...we could make it a "group" quote, and encourage each other. Love your wooden bowl of cranberries. Wishing you a wonderful 2015!! Looking forward to seeing your work!
